Cherelle and Jonathan were married last March at the beautiful Kukio Beach in Kailua Kona, Hawaii. Cherelle was really wanting the bright blues to be part of her wedding photo memories. I always tell couples to think on two things when picking a wedding time:
- how do you want your day to be?
and
- how do you want your photos to look?
If you want to anticipate, get ready, and plan for your wedding all day, choose sunset! If you want to wake up, be married, and spend the rest of your day as a just married couple, choose the morning!
If you want bright blue hues and vibrant ocean tones, a morning wedding is right for you. If you are after hot pinks, oranges, and purples, sunset is your time. The ocean is always brighter in the morning hours due to the sun's reflection on it. In the evening hours, the ocean tends to gray out in photos, and the focus is ultimately on that sunset sky.
There was some epic weather during Cherelle and Jonathan's wedding week. There were massive and record breaking floods throughout Hawaii state. There was even a torrential downpour at this couple's hotel the morning of their wedding. Fortunately for Cherelle and Jonathan, the reliably beautiful Kuki`o Beach came through for them, and they had a gorgeous morning wedding. See some of their photographs below.
So many blessings to this remarkable and lucky in love couple!
